e02 - radios, clocks, and WD-40
and the great move to bluer skies
Hey creative techies - here’s this week’s roundup for projects, opportunities, and news in Creative Technology.
Projects
Here are this week’s discoveries in the world of creative engineering.
Clock - All Text NYC
by Yufeng Zhao & Morry Kolman
From a searchable database of all text IRL in new york - a clock! which shows the current time EST from digits found in the real.
Radiocast
Built over two weekends with the help of AI, a searchable map of all radio stations in the world. Old schoolers will remember other iterations of this project form long ago like world radio map or radio garden, but we’re loving the simple grayscale design on this new one.
WD-40 Lamp
by Braden Smith
Turning an engineering staple into a livingroom piece.
